Dr. Kevin S. Jones is the Fredrick N. Rhines of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Florida. His research has focused on studying advanced processing of microelectronic devices. He has published over 400 referred articles and book chapters. From 2002-2010 he was chair of the MSE Department at the University of Florida. He is also Chairman of the International Committee on Ion Implantation Technology and is co-Director of an SWAMP Center. He has won many awards including the 1990 Presidential Young Investigator award from NSF, several teacher of the year awards, the 2006 Triple Point Award, the 2011 College of Engineering Graduate Mentor of the Year Award and the 2014 North American Award from SEMI international. He is a fellow of the Materials Research Society, ASM International and IEEE.
