Kim is currently General Manager Policy and Research at the Regional Australia Institute (RAI) looking after the research program and managing the research team. The Institute is a not-for-profit think tank on regional economic policy and practice. Kim is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Institute for Policy and Governance at the University of Canberra.
Kim has 20 years experience in regional business and economic development in Australia and overseas. Kim's particular specialisations are in regional economic strategy, small business and entrepreneurship. In addition to research and strategy work, Kim has designed and delivered practical programs to support business growth in regions, including a high-technology business incubator.
Kim has PhD in economics from ANU.
