Senior Lecturer in Nutrition, Food, and Health Sciences, Teesside University

My professional experiences are divided between delivering training, workshops and lecturing across a range of Sport, Health and Exercise disciplines, conducting research, and Enterprise projects.

My PhD research looked into the effects of dietary manipulation, specifically the Glycaemic Index on exercise performance.

I currently am researching into the effects of plant- based diets on a range of health parameters and presented initial data at the Nutrition Society in 2019.

I am passionate about working with individuals to encourage and promote healthy eating and exercise patterns in order to reduce obesity and improve overall health of varying populations.
