Associate Professor of Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies and Human Development & Family Sciences, University of Connecticut

I am an Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, and Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Connecticut. My research focuses on the intersection of disability/illness, caregiving, and technology. I use ethnographic methods in my research. I am a nationally certified American Sign Language interpreter and the author of Made to Hear: Cochlear Implants and Raising Deaf children. I am currently writing a book on spousal caregiving.
