Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Faculty of Health Sciences, Western University

Dr. Murray is the Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies in the Faculty of Health Sciences and a Full Professor in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western University. She holds an Adjunct Professor position at Indiana University and a Distinguished Visiting Professor position at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Prior to her academic positions, Dr. Murray worked as a speech-language pathologist in both school and hospital settings. Her research interests include examining how cognitive deficits interact with the language abilities of adults living with acquired neurogenic communication disorders, and developing assessment and treatment strategies to address these disorders. She has published and presented extensively in the fields of aphasia, right hemisphere disorders, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and typical aging. She co-authored a graduate-level textbook entitled Neurogenic disorders of language and cognition: Evidence-based Clinical Practice.
