Deputy Director, Australian Centre for Climate and Environmental Law and Lecturer in Law, University of Sydney

Laura is a lecturer in law at the University of Sydney. Her expertise is focused on the interdisciplinary intersections between science and law, particularly with respect to climate change, biodiversity governance, human habitat, and health. She has researched, advised and taught across these fields for the past ten years.

Laura has a PhD in Law, a Master of Environment, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. She has attended Oxford and Columbia Universities as a visiting scholar, sponsored by the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law. She is a member of the World Commission on Environmental Law and has volunteered as a legal advisor to the IUCN. She is also admitted as a barrister and solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
