Laura Schuijers

Research Fellow in Environmental Law, University of Melbourne

Laura is a research fellow in law and public policy at the University of Melbourne. Her expertise is focused on the interdisciplinary intersections between science and law, particularly with respect to climate change, biodiversity governance, human habitat, and health. She has researched, advised and taught across these fields for the past ten years. Having recently spent two years as a fellow at the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute, she is now based at the Melbourne Law School.

Laura has a PhD in Law, a Master of Environment, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. She has attended Oxford and Columbia Universities as a visiting academic, and Lewis & Clarke and Boston Colleges as a visiting student. She is admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
