Completed Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in April, 2018, a Master of Arts degree in Gender and Development (2005) from the University of Nairobi. I also hold a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree (1994) from Kenyatta University (Kiswahili language and Christian Religious Education), and a Diploma in Peace and Security (2013) from Uppsala University, Sweden. l have worked for about a decade on training and operations for Peace Support Operations specifically on the African Standby Force (ASF) Rapid Deployment Capability development and peace building issues; humanitarian affairs and the employment of ASF in AU scenarios. The highest assignment I was the lead consultant to the African Union Commission –European Commission Project on the African Standby Force Rapid Deployment Capability assessment. A team of experts under the authority of the African Union conducted the assessment in collaboration with the Regional Planning Elements.
