Lez Trujillo Torres

Lez Trujillo Torres is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Illinois Chicago. She investigates how consumers, products, and institutions are valued in the marketplace. Her research revolves around consumption topics with broad societal and public policy implications such as marketplace disparities, service experiences, health markets, risky technologies, and social responsibility. She received her PhD in Business Administration and MBA from University of Illinois Chicago and her BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to entering UIC, Lez spent over 15 years addressing social and economic justice issues ranging from affordable housing, homeownership in low-income communities, consumer financial protection, and quality public education.
