Assistant Professor of Landscape Ecology, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Li Li is a landscape ecologist at XJTLU, whose research interests relate to the human aspects of biodiversity conservation. Her previous studies focused on land-use change and its ecological consequences on the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Her current research investigates the adaptations of local communities – including nomadic groups – to environmental changes. Li's research aims to mainstream and integrate biodiversity and Nature-based Solutions into China’s agricultural and ecological-restoration policies. Li obtained her PhD from the University of Freiburg in Germany, then was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Nature and Society of Peking University.
