Postdoctoral research fellow, UCL

I am Research Fellow in Population Health Data Science at the Centre for Longitudinal Studies, University College London. I am an epidemiologist focusing on the role of genetics and cognitive ability in determining health. My PhD research was on the association between youth unemployment and mental health later in life (so called scarring effects).

Prior to UCL, I was an NIHR Research Methods Fellow at the University of Sheffield. I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the Durham University and a masters degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham. Between Nottingham and Sheffield, I worked at the BBC and at Monitor (now NHS Improvement).
