PhD candidate in Science and Technology Studies, Stellenbosch University

Lili Rademan is a doctoral candidate at The Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) at Stellenbosch University who follows the specialisation in science communication. Her background in physiology and journalism fuelled the idea for her PhD plan to investigate the issue of pseudoscience and misinformation in the South African online media with specific reference to cancer reporting. She also collaborates on research projects involving expert voices in the South African media during the COVID-19 pandemic and exploring online platforms for science engagement. She also co-presents online science communication courses hosted by Stellenbosch University.
