Lina Alaaeldin Abdelfattah

Lina Alaaeldin Abdelfattah is a Research Associate. She is working on research related to social protection, food, water, and agriculture in the region, and was previously also acting as the office's communication liaison. Before joining IFPRI, Lina held several research positions in the government and international organizations as well as research and teaching positions at the American University in Cairo (AUC). She holds MSc in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Bristol, UK, MA in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC), and BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC). Her research interests include applied economic development, international trade, spatial economics, and macroeconometric modelling and forecasting.
