Visiting Lecturer in Air Transport Management, City, University of London

Linus Benjamin Bauer is the managing director of Bauer Aviation Advisory, a consulting firm exclusively working for the aviation industry. In addition to his main duty as a managing consultant, he is a Visiting Lecturer in Air Transport Management at the City University of London. Prior to that, Linus held positions in commercial departments at various airline companies including Etihad Airways, Singapore Airlines and SkyWork Airlines.

In the past two years, he has been specialising in ultra long-haul operations. Between 2018 and 2019, he has worked on an extensive study about the commercial viability of ultra long-haul operations and produced the world’s first-ever academic evidence with the help of a specifically designed revenue-cost model if ultra long-haul operations can be commercially viable and economically feasible. As an active member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, he been gives speeches and guest lectures about ultra long-haul operations at various events worldwide including London, Dubai and Sydney. In May 2019, he received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in Air Transport Management, personally presented by HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & CEO Emirates Group, in Dubai, UAE.
