Lisa McDaid (nee Williamson) graduated in 1996 with a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Studies from the University of Paisley and went on to do the MPhil in Social Science Research at the University of Glasgow, graduating in 1998. Lisa joined the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit in 2000 and gained her PhD from the Unit in 2007.

Lisa joined the Programme Leader Track Scheme in 2010 and was promoted to Programme Leader in 2012. Lisa leads the Unit’s Social Relationships and Health Improvement programme. She is particularly interested in the development of new evaluation methods and technologies in public health, and the development and evaluation of interventions to improve sexual health and wellbeing.
