I specialize in decolonial approaches to health promotion and prevention in the areas of maternal and child health. I make use of participatory research methods to partner with services user and include patient perspectives on the content and structure of interventions. I am currently setting up a writing programme to involve women who drink during pregnancy to reflect on their own journey of owning and developing critical consciousness. Women use what they have learnt about themselves and their environments to educate other women and their partners on how to enhance health and well-being.
