I am currently a MA student and a teacher in the department of English Language and Literature at the University of Cape Town.
My MA thesis is a study of Cape Town's racial history through analysis of select contemporary novels that prominently feature ambiguously-raced characters.
I'm interested in racial constructions in postcolonial countries, with a special focus on mixed race identity and border thinking. I have interests in the philosophy of language, poststructural thought as well as decolonial theory and praxis.
