I am currently President and CEO of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, a non-profit biomedical research funding organization in North Carolina and Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Prior to this appointment in January 2020, I had been Director of Human Genetics, Vice Chair for Research and Co-Director of the Perinatal Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. I have more than 260 peer reviewed publications and am a Fellow of the AAAS and member of the National Academy of Medicine.
