Lucy Hawthorne is a Hobart-based writer and artist. Her research interests include site-specific and installation art, contemporary Australian art, institutional critique, museum architecture, and the role of craft and the handmade in contemporary visual art. She was awarded her doctorate, ‘The Museum as Art: Site-specific Art in Australia’s Public Museums’, in 2013.
