Ph.D. Student in Epidemiology, University of Washington

Maayan is a PhD student in Epidemiology at the University of Washington. Her current research focuses on social and injury epidemiology. Maayan also helps run the Student Epidemic Action Leaders (SEAL) Team, training graduate students to work in public health practice. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Maayan spent two years as a CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow with Multnomah County Health Department in Portland, Oregon, where she specialized in both communicable disease and substance abuse epidemiology. She received her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology from the Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice and her BA in community health and psychology from Tufts University.
