Dr. Manish Pandey is a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Winnipeg. He obtained a Master in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and a PhD in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Working on wide variety of research projects, he has developed an extensive portfolio of research on productivity and comparative performance in labor economics, public economics, macroeconomics and immigration. His research has been primarily empirical and has received funding support from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada. The findings of his research have been published in a number of academic journals and is co-editor of the book Performance Metrics for Sustainable Cities.
