Manuel Garcin currently works at the Direction Risques et Prévention, French Geological Survey. Manuel does research in Coastal hazards and risks (erosion, marine flooding...) and on recent change and evolution of coastal systems in tropical (South Pacific, Indian Ocean) and temperal countries (Eiuropean Atlantic coast) . On other hand, Manuel Garcin works aiming at assessing flood hazard in Malawi, and on anthropogenic impact versus natural factors on river system (e.g. New Caledonia: impact of Nickel mining wastes). Manuel Garcin works within different national (ANR, CNRT, AFD) and international projects (InSeaption, Storisk, Gemmap, OBLIC, Ephedra, Gestion du Passif Minier, IMMILA...)
