I obtained my PhD in Medical Physiology from Stellenbosch University in 2019. I have worked as a visiting researcher in the UK, and have established international and local collaborations. My research area focus on both basic and preclinical research in cardiovascular disease, therapies and the underlying metabolic disturbances associated with the development of cardiovascular disease, especially in obesity. I currently work within the Division of Medical Physiology, and Centre for Cardio-Metabolic Research in Africa (CARMA) at Stellenbosch University
