Dr Maria Fotopoulou is a lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences in the University of Stirling. Prior to joining the University of Stirling she worked in the field of policy and service evaluation of the health and social care of people who experience problems with their drug use and more broadly marginalized and minority groups in the UK and Greece. Her current research activity revolves around the framing and construction of the ‘drug problem’, the process of problematisation in research, policy and practice as well as the intersection of gender, policy and drugs.
