Maria Lucia Yanguas

Maria Lucia Yanguas obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in Economics at Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She became interested in empirical work upon after hired as Research Assistant for professors for a year. In that time, she was able to work on day-care programs for working moms in Mexico, a hand-washing campaign in Peru, a youth-lead non-profit organization that builds houses for the poor all over Latin America. After that, Yanguas is now in the fourth year of a PhD program at UCLA. Her research interests are in Labor and Education.
