Maria Vogiatzaki

Professor Maria Vogiatzaki is an educator, researcher and architect, who works at the School of Architecture, Anglia Ruskin University, UK. Maria is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her recent book entitled "Architectural Materialisms: Nonhuman Creativity” was published by Edinburgh University Press. Her PhD at the University of Bath, School of Architecture investigated the design process of non-standard architecture. Her research work and education lie in the materiality of architecture. Maria is a free-lance architect, lectures and sits at design, Masters and PhD juries and committees around the world. Maria has been the founder and Director of the Masters Programme "Advanced Design: Innovation and Transdisciplinarity in Architectural Design" at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Maria is the editor-in-chief of Scopus Indexed refereed journal archidoct. Maria’s Masters students won nine international awards and prizes on their design diploma theses (2016-2020). Maria is a chartered architect in Greece (Technical Chamber of Greece) and the UK and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Architectural Registration Board (ARB) in the UK, the Association of University Teachers and a member of the Design Society.
