Marie-Anne Valfort is an associate professor at the Paris School of Economics - Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University.

Her work has been published or is forthcoming in World Bank Economic Review, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Population Economics, Harvard University Press, Economics and Politics, Economics Letters, Economic Inquiry and Annals of Economics and Statistics.

Current research projects include identifying and explaining the Muslim disadvantage to integration in Christian-heritage societies, defining effective policies for promoting workplace diversity and improving learning at school in developing countries.

She received her Ph.D. in economics from Ecole Polytechnique (France).
