Marie Gibert

Marie is currently an associate lecturer in te Department of Geography, Environment and Development Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London.

Marie's research focuses on the international community's role in accompanying and providing support to post-conflict and post-crisis states in West Africa. It identifies the international actors involved, as well as their interests and normative approaches and tries to assess how these actors cooperate, to what extent they implement the previously agreed normative frameworks and what obstacles and challenges they encounter in so doing.
