Marina is a Higher Degree Research candidate from the Institute for Culture and Society at Western Sydney University. Marina completed her Master of Research in 2017 and has Bachelor of Social Science with majors in Urban Studies. Her Masters’ research titled ‘’Contested Ground’: Network Governance in the Australian Migration Industry’ explored lived experiences of professionals working in the Australian migration industry and was recently published in 'International Migration'. Her PhD project titled ‘Mapping Migrancies’ is an exploration of skilled migrants' encounters’ with migration processes, and how these interactions shape their migration experience in Australia and Canada. Marina also hosts a research podcast called Blabcoats at Western Sydney University and is a Postgraduate committee representative for The Australian Sociological Association (TASA).
