Professor, Occupational Therapy, University of the Sunshine Coast

Professor Marion Gray joined the University of the Sunshine Coast in July 2011. She is the Discipline Leader of Occupational Therapy and Leader for the research Cluster for Health Improvement at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

She is a Visiting Fellow in Allied Health with the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and an Adjunct Professor with the College of Healthcare Sciences, James Cook University. Professor Gray currently sits on the University and Faculty Research Management Committees.

Professor Gray’s previous post was Associate Professor, Postgraduate/Research Co-ordinator, Occupational Therapy; Co-Chair, Research Committee, School of Public Health, Tropical Medicine and Rehabilitation Sciences; Faculty Elected Representative, University Research Committee; Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences, James Cook University, QLD, Australia.

Professor Gray completed her Occupational Therapy qualifications and Research Masters in Otago, NZ and her PhD in Public Health at the Wellington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, NZ.

She undertook her Postdoctoral training in environmental epidemiology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington DC before taking up a teaching and research position for 5 years at James Cook University.

Her research interests include allied health education and practice, Indigenous health, chronic disease management and prostate cancer epidemiology, diagnoses and treatment.

Professor Gray is involved in USC's research cluster, the Cluster for Health Improvement.
