Mark Edberg, Ph.D., M.A., is the founding Director of the Center for Social Well-Being and Development, and Director of the Avance Center for the Advancement of Immigrant/Refugee Health. He is an Associate Professor in the Milken Institute School of Public Health, Department of Prevention and Community Health, with secondary appointments in the GWU CCAS Department of Anthropology and the Elliott School of International Affairs. Dr. Edberg is an applied and academic anthropologist with 25 years of experience in social research, interventions, evaluation, strategic planning for agencies, and communication -- primarily in public health, in both domestic and global contexts.
