Senior Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy, University of Salford

I have twenty years experience in counselling and psychotherapy. I began practice in 1996 and obtained my Diploma in Counselling in 1997. I have been in full time practice since that time. After completing my Diploma, I undertook postgraduate training in Psychotherapy. I am a fully qualified and registered psychotherapist, and a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst. I am a lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Salford. I also provide clinical supervision for other psychotherapists and counsellors across the UK and Europe. I have taught on several M.Sc programmes in TA Counselling and Psychotherapy throughout the UK and Europe. I am a former member of the ITA's Training Standards Committee and I am also an International Expert for the Training Accreditation Council for the European Association for Psychotherapy- visiting, inspecting and advising psychotherapy training institutes throughout Europe. I also have a Ph.D with the University of Leicester, For this I researched the process and outcome of TA psychotherapy for the treatment of depression.
