I am an environmental social scientist and political ecologist at the University of Washington and WorldFish, with an interest in human-nature relationships and how these can be governed in a way that includes a diversity of worldviews and values. I try to understand the struggles and power dynamics of environmental issues by politicising environmental governance. My research interests include the discourse and political economy of defining and implementing the blue economy, and the equity and justice implications of these processes. I draw on theory and qualitative and quantitative methods from Political Ecology, Sociology, Network Analysis, and Ecological Economics.
