Professor of Macroeconomics, Head of School of Economics and Finance, Massey University

I am a Professor of Macroeconomics and the Head of the School of Economics and Finance at Massey University. My primary research interests lie in international finance, open economy macroeconomics, and monetary economics.

I am a Fellow of the Asian Bureau of Financial and Economic Research at the National University of Singapore, and the founding co-director of the Open Economy Macroeconomics Research Programme at Centre of Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at the Australian National University. I also serve as an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Surveys, New Zealand Economic Papers, and a fellow of the Slovak Economic Association, a board member of the Australasian Macroeconomics Society, a research associate at the Globalization and Monetary Policy Institute, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. I am presently a council member of the New Zealand Association of Economists.

In the past, I have served as an Academic Fellow of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, an executive officer of the Central Bank Research Association, and have co-organised a number of international conferences.
