Martin Delatycki

Director of Bruce Lefroy Centre for Genetic Health Research, Murdoch Children's Research Institute

Professor Martin Delatycki is the Director of the Bruce Lefroy Centre of Genetic Health Research at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute.

Martin trained in Medicine at The University of Melbourne and in Paediatrics at the Royal Children's Hospital, before training in clinical genetics before obtaining his PhD for clinical and laboratory-based research in Friedreich ataxia.

Professor Delatycki's main research interests are in neurogenetics and community genetics. He heads the Friedreich ataxia research program at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, which includes a clinical research program examining all aspects of how the disease affects individuals.
