Dr Martin Young is an Associate Professor in the School of Business and Tourism at Southern Cross University and Visiting Research Fellow at the Australian National University. He is a human geographer with an overarching interest in the spatial processes that constitute contemporary capitalist societies. His applied research examines the political economy of the gambling and tourism industries, particularly in regional and remote areas, on which he has published widely.
