Mbongiseni Buthelezi

Mbongiseni Buthelezi is a Senior Researcher in the Research Initiative in Archive and Public Culture in Social Anthropology at the University of Cape Town. He holds a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University in New York City. His research examines the uses of the past in the making of identity claims in the present, focusing, among others, on oral artistic forms.
