Megan Pearson

(She/Her)
PhD Education- Language, Culture and Teaching, York University, Canada

Megan Pearson studies the intersections between the solidarity economy (SE) and education and the ways in which the values of the solidarity economy may inform an accessible and equitable education for racialized and other marginalized youth. Megan’s positionality as a member of the queer BIPOC community and the Caribbean diaspora has entreated her to explore what it means to queer global solidarity economy spaces, troubling normalizing structures of inequality and exclusion and the ways in which they are played out in the SE; both in the Canadian context and globally. Megan has extensive teaching and curriculum development experience at all levels of education.
