Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary British History, UCL

Michael is an associate professor of modern and contemporary British history at UCL. He was awarded his PhD in History by the University of Oxford in 2009. He previously studied the history of political thought at Cambridge University and political science at the London School of Economics. He writes, researches, and teaches about the end of the British Empire and its social, cultural, and intellectual legacies for Britain.
