Postdoctoral research fellow, Neuroscience, Simon Fraser University

I'm a comparative sleep physiologist at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. My research focuses on the evolution of sleep across the animal kingdom. I use behavioural, metabolic, and neurophysiological recordings to investigate how ecological factors, such as predation pressure, have shaped sleep over evolutionary time. This research also involves investigating sleep in aquatic apex predators, which are some of the oldest, extant, jawed vertebrates.
