My academic background is in political science and I have published extensively in that field and in public administration and public policy. I began my career at McMaster University, where I was a faculty member for 21 years, and spent 10 years as Provost and Vice-President Academic at the University of Saskatchewan. I am a past-President of the Canadian Political Science Association and in 2012 was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s gold medal for achievement in public administration. My research interests include public finance, political ethics and the broad topic of good governance.
