My academic background is in political science and I have published extensively in that field and in public administration and public policy. I began my career at McMaster University, where I was a faculty member for 21 years, and spent 10 years as Provost and Vice-President Academic at the University of Saskatchewan. I am a past-President of the Canadian Political Science Association and in 2012 was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s gold medal for achievement in public administration.
