Assistant Teaching Professor, Purdue University

I have a Master's and a Doctorate in Religious Studies and have been working or teaching in higher education for sixteen years. I am the author of two books, "Malleable Mara: Transformations of a Buddhist Symbol of Evil" (State University of New York Press, 2019) and "Religion and Myth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe" (McFarland Press, 2021), fourteen peer-reviewed journal articles, and two dozen conference presentations. My areas of research are religions of South Asia, the political use of religious narratives, and religion in popular culture.
