Professor Michael Quinlan is the Dean of the School of Law, Sydney of The University of Notre Dame Australia. Professor Quinlan took this appointment after a distinguished legal career at the corporate and commercial law firm, Allens. As the Dean of the law school of a Catholic university Professor Quinlan has a keen interest in religious freedom and in conflicts between law and religion. He has written on this topic and on issues relating to marriage, euthanasia and freedom of conscience. Prior to his appointment as Dean, whilst at Allens, Professor Quinlan focussed on and wrote extensively in the areas of insurance and corporate insolvency.
