Assistant Professor of Sociology, The Ohio State University

Mike Vuolo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at The Ohio State University. I hold the following degrees from the University of Minnesota: a PhD in sociology (2009), an MS in statistics (2007), and an MS in Mathematics (2011). My research and teaching interests include crime, law, and deviance; health; sociology of work and education; substance use; the life course; and statistics and methodology. I have been both Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on grants funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In 2013, I received the Junior Scholar Award from the American Sociological Association Section on Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco.
