Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Planning, Western Sydney University

Michelle is currently the Director, Academic Program (Accounting) at Western Sydney University where she has taught for fifteen years in undergraduate and postgraduate accounting and financial planning programs.

Michelle is a leading academic in the area of financial planning, having completed her PhD on the role of trust in financial planning and publishing a range of academic papers in financial literacy, financial planning, education and ethics. Michelle supervises a number of PhD students and is currently working on new and exciting research projects in accounting and financial planning.

Prior to becoming an academic, Michelle worked in ASX100 companies for over ten years in financial and management accounting, change management, systems redesign, and acquisition. Michelle has also worked as a consultant and volunteers her time on not-for profit boards.
