Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Planning, Western Sydney University

Michelle is currently the Associate Dean, Engagement in the School of Business and Senior Lecturer (Accounting and Financial Planning) at Western Sydney University where she has taught for twenty years in undergraduate and postgraduate accounting and financial planning programs. In 2021, Michelle received the Western Sydney Women Educator of The Year Award.

Michelle has published in areas of accounting, financial literacy, financial planning, education, ethics and trust. Michelle supervises ten PhD students and is co-editor of the Financial Planning Research Journal.

Prior to becoming an academic, Michelle worked in ASX100 companies for over ten years in financial and management accounting, change management, systems redesign, and acquisition. Michelle has also worked as a consultant and has volunteered her time on not-for profit boards.
