I’m an associate professor of political science and the director of the Sarah T. Hughes Field Politics Center at Goucher College. I research and teach American state politics, public opinion and survey research methodology. In my role as director of the Hughes Center, I oversee every aspect of the Goucher Poll—a survey of Marylanders on policy and political issues—including interviewer training, questionnaire construction, sampling, and data analysis. I’m also a frequent commentator on Maryland politics.
