Senior Analyst, University of Pretoria

Mmatlou is the Senior Analyst and Executive Director at the Bureau for Food and Agricultural Policy (BFAP), in South Africa. He is a research fellow at Stellenbosch University, and a Research Director at the Regional Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes (ReNAPRI). He completed his PhD at University of Pretoria, specializing in international trade, non-tariff measures, regulatory and policy issues and how they impact international trade and economic development. Hold MSc in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University (OSU). Undergraduate and Honours degrees were completed at University of Limpopo. Research areas include international trade, agricultural policy and climate change.
