Monica Dus is a molecular biologist and neuroscientist expert in the genetics and epigenetics of nutrition. She leads a research lab studying the effects of high-sugar diets and nutrients on the brain, with a focus on how nutrients affect the flow of genetic information to protect from or promote disease. Dus teaches genetics and epigenetics to hundreds of University of Michigan students every year and loves talking about science with people of all ages. She is also the host of the How to Science and Neuroepic podcasts.
