Mónica Valderrama Santomé

University Lecturer (PhD) and Researcher (UVigo). She received her Ph.D. degree in “Advertising and Public Relations” from the University of Vigo, Spain. Extraordinary prize of Doctorate in Social and Juridical Sciencies 2004. BA in Comunication Sciences: Advertising and Public Relations. BA in Information Sciences: Journalist. University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
She has worked as Journalist, Columnist, Local Information Chief in “La Voz de Galicia” (Vigo, Galicia) and she was Chief Editor of weekly newspaper for Spanish emigrated to latino countries “España Exterior” (Vigo, Galicia).

She has made stays in foreign centers in Mexico, Brazil and Italy: Anahuac Universities (Campus Xalapa and Cancún, 2007 and 2009), PUC-Minas Gerais (2000), Colima (2001 and 2002), Lumsa (Rome, 2010, 11 and 12), Poland (Wroclaw, 2015), Campobasso (2013 and 2017) and Zadar (2018). Lines of research: social media, creative trends in emerging audiovisual media, evolution of television advertising production, new audiovisual advertising formats, television identities, and new technologies applied to organizational communication.
