I am currently a Data Manager for the Center for Respiratory Diseases and Meningitis, at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD). I am responsible for data management, database development for disease surveillance, generating surveillance reports and supporting surveillance data activities. I am also the project lead for the digital participatory surveillance at NICD. My background is in Electrical and Information Engineering, with a specific interest in applied research and development; public health information systems and the application of Big Data in public health and data modelling. I am skilled in a number of programming languages, database development and systems, problem solving, public speaking and project management. I am passionate about finding solutions to current and emerging global health challenges, particularly in relation to data systems and health education
