Natacha Berkowitz

Global Health Clinical Research Fellow Imperial College London and Honorary Research Officer, University of Cape Town

Natacha trained in South Africa as a primary care clinician and has a background in chronic disease care, as well as HIV and TB medicine. She joined the University of Cape Town in 2014 as a research medical officer on a large tuberculosis and diabetes study. Since then she has been involved in multiple clinical research studies and is completing her Masters in Public Health in July. In 2016 she was awarded a Wellcome Trust funded Global Health Clinical Research Training Fellowship from Imperial College London. Her current research focuses on the intersection of chronic communicable and non-communicable diseases, particularly focusing on contextually appropriate integrated care models for HIV infected patients with comorbid chronic non-communicable diseases.
